To make an appointment please either phone the surgery on  01248 370900 from 8.00a.m. or come into reception after 8.50a.m. We have 1/3 pre-bookable appointments but the remaining 2/3 can be booked the day you need to be seen.

If you need to see a named doctor we will try to offer you an appointment on the day that you phone the surgery, but as patients are now registered with the practice rather than with an individual doctor, it may not always be possible for you to see your preferred doctor. If all appointments for that doctor have gone, an appointment with an alternative doctor will be offered or a pre-bookable appointment with your doctor of choice. If we are unable to offer you an appointment to suit a telephone call will be offered.

When you telephone for an appointment we would be grateful if you would provide the receptionist with brief details of your problem so that you can be offered an appointment with the most appropriate member of our team. Sometimes this will be with our Minor Illness Nurse but your wishes will be respected, where possible. Minor illness appointments are available daily for single, uncomplicated problems such as sore throats, earache, and rashes.

We try to run to time as far as possible, but inevitably an appointment can run over time, so please bear with us if you have to wait. To keep surgeries running as smoothly as possible, please remember the following points:

• Please arrive on time for your appointment and allow time to park your car
• Please let us know if you cannot keep your appointment
• Please don’t “squeeze in” other people to your slot
• Please let us know if you need more than the allocated 10 minutes so that we can give you a longer appointment

Requests for home visits where applicable should be made before 9.00a.m.
