Requests for home visits should be made where possible, before 10.00am for same day visits. Non-urgent requests received after this time may be forwarded to the next day depending on the circumstances.  Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to allow the doctor to allocate priority to the call.

Remember that for every house visit seven patients, on average, can be seen at the surgery. House visits should therefore be for housebound or severely ill patients only. Children very rarely fall into this category and are easily transported to the surgery.

We would aim to see ill patients on arrival at the surgery.
