Practice News
August 2008
Staff Changes – Dr Rhiannon Ward-Davies has completed her
training with us and we are now joined by Dr Catrin Williams,
who will be with us until the end of November 2008, and like Dr
Ward-Davies is a qualified doctor who is spending time with us
as part of her ongoing training.
Dr Khan our current Registrar is to remain with us until the end
of November 2008, he will be joined by two additional
Registrars, Dr Sapan Samaiya and Dr Fatima Ali who will both be
with us until August 2009.
Smoking – in line with the North West Wales NHS Trust we
have decided to make our grounds and premises totally smoke free
from the 1st January 2007, Smoking Cessation advice is available
from the surgery, please ask at reception.
Smoking Cessation Advice - patients may wish to consult
with one of the pharmacists at any of the local chemists who
offer advice on Smoking Cessation this service is fully
supported by the practice and is free of charge – the
pharmacists are able to prescribe medication as part of this
service.
Car Park – the car park is for the use of patients whilst
visiting the surgery or using the pharmacy, please help us by
not parking for longer than necessary as space is limited and
clamping is in operation.
Missed Appointments – please could you let us know if you
no longer require an appointment you have booked as we have
recorded over 150 missed appointments, per month over the last 3
months. This is over 15 days worth of appointments or 100
hours!!!. Even if you need to cancel at short notice we
can often fill the space with another patient, which also mean
if you let us know that it is not recorded in your records that
you “did not attend”. We monitor closely patients who
persistently miss appointments and reserve the right to remove
them from our practice list.
